Nonclinical Study Operator (Animal) Muffin Incorporated is currently accepting applications for a Nonclinical Study Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for performing operator functions for nonclinical animal testing according feasibility testing protocols, GLP protocols and other applicable regulations. Responsibilities • Perform the study according to the study protocol and applicable regulations; • Adhere to safety precautions, general laboratory procedures, procedural standards and SOPs and scientific principles provided by training; • Use equipment that is adequately inspected, cleaned, maintained, tested, calibrated, and/or standardized; • Properly document the activities and data of the study; • Properly label, handle and store test and control articles before, during, and after the study; • Assist with the use of basic lab equipment (e.g., X-ray, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Endoscopy); • Assist with animal necropsies and tissue collection; • Inventory and order laboratory supplies as needed for animal studies; • Perform general lab tasks as required, in support of animal studies ; • Become familiar with study protocols and the execution of study protocols according to GLP regulations; • Communicate scheduling to help coordinate functions of Muffin Incorporated and off-site personnel for animal studies; • Provide clerical and administrative support for Study Directors in the preparation of study reports; • Seek future opportunities to provide increased contribution and responsibility. • Exemplify a positive, helpful, team-oriented attitude to prepare, execute, and complete laboratory studies. • Travel as needed in support of studies; and • Accept responsibilities as defined by 21 CFR 58. Essential Qualifications Technically qualified by education, training and/or experience; • Knowledgeable about applicable procedural standards, SOPs, GLP and other applicable regulations; • Experience with data capture, recording and data form completion according to applicable regulations; • Strong computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets; • Extreme attention to detail; • Successfully completion of the "Qualification for GLP Operator" after training by a qualified Study Director; Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities along with fluctuations in work load; Ability to work within strict time constraints; Experience with laboratory and chemical safety and procedures; Excellent organizational and time management skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. • Knowledge of research animal physiology and anatomy; • Excellent verbal communication; • Professional, goal oriented, self-motivated, and responsible; • Excellent organizational and time management skills; • Ability to work within strict time constraints; • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
