Details:
Canon Vietnam Co.,Ltd:
1. Investigation and analysis trouble of product
- Examine trouble related electric, electronic part of printer to find the root cause
- Analysis and evaluate bad effect of the problem
- Usually audit maker to support to find root cause of problem

2. Doing Quality Up product activity
- Besides of trouble investigation, I collaborate with other departments (ASSY, Material Quality Assurance and Product Quality Assurance, maker…) to give out and follow countermeasure action for quality product
- Daily, Monthly, Quarter, Yearly summary and analyze occurred trouble to classify what kind of trouble (Cause: ASSY line, Child part, assembly maker….)
- Promote thoroughly trouble preventive activity & feedback trouble for new models
- Improve PCBA maker’s process
- Exterminate trouble related duty of engineering department

3. Launch up new model
To prepare for new model trial production (MT), there are some many jobs. For example about jobs to for MT phase:
 Base on the general schedule from Head Quarter, making a plan for all task of production engineering dept (list out: Detail action items, PIC, Time…)
 Issue drawing, technical document, BOM list for maker, other division to prepare for now model
 Support maker, internal dept to understand changing, new technology… of new model by a meeting or training course..
 Monthly regular meeting with maker, internal division (Product Control dept, ASSY dept, Purchase dept, Production engineering dept…)
 While maker produce the part (PCBA, harness…), directly audit maker to check production process….
 After finish part production at maker side, perform evaluate process capacity (Cpk, ZL,ZH: 3σ, 5 σ, 6 σ…)
 Together with some related dept follow assembly condition, quality of product during
 Carry out potential trouble investigation for the product
4. Cost down activity (VE )
- Research VE part (Cheaper part)
- Launch up cheaper maker from domestic for PCBA assembly or some other electric part: Support them become new supplier of the company together guarantee quality of part.
- PCBA maker process improvement : Investigate to reduce process cost
- Improvement ASSY process in our company:
- Implement cost down investigation for new model
5. Issue technical document for related department
As a engineer of product engineering, I usually receive ECN (Engineering Change Notice) from Head Quarter, issue and transfer technical document to other dept on system of the factory therefore we are getting used to work on a system of factory.
