Used in conjunction with the ACTAtek unit, the Secure External Relay (ER-01) provides an additional layer of security for access control systems when the ACTAtek terminals are exposed to general access.  An encrypted serial link from the ACTAtek unit connected to the Secure External Relay ensures the door release mechanism cannot be operated directly. This means that even when there is a vandal attack or someone removes the ACTAtek terminal by force, the Secure Relay will maintain operation and keep the door mechanism locked against unauthorised access.

The ACTAtek Secure Relay (ER-01) now comes in an enclosed Aluminium shell for a lightweight yet durable design.
