This facility houses the largest, most advanced R & D laboratory complex of its kind, where innovations in evaporative cooling and heat transfer technology have originated in the past, are being developed today, and lead the industry into the future.POSITION PURPOSE The Parts Application Technician is responsible for providing timely and accurate technical solutions for standard BAC product offerings to both internal and external customers by means of both written and verbal quotations. Must also be able to provide accurate and profitable part’s solutions for product upgrades, retrofits, and customization through the use of product knowledge and sound engineering practices. NATURE & SCOPE Reporting to the Manager, Aftermarket Operations; the Parts Applications Technician provides technical applications support and customized quotes to BAC Representatives worldwide through oral and written communication, in a timely and accurate fashion. This position will have interaction with all levels of Corporate Headquarters and the North American manufacturing plants. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESProvide technical applications support and customization quotes to BAC Representatives worldwide through oral and written communication in a timely and accurate fashionProvide BAC Representatives with replacement part selections, upgrades, retrofits, competitive product strategy, and systems knowledgeAssist Warranty Services in troubleshooting problems with installed equipmentInteract with all departments at BAC (Marketing, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Engineering, Warranty Services, Sales, Credit) to support quotations and ordersOrganize data and tools to improve the Product Applications process – Work with Engineering and Customer Service to improve order flow and processing of product customizationsADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and present technical presentations and training to department team members as requiredOccasional travel to plants, representative offices or job sites visits to inspect installations, gather competitive information and give technical presentations to customersWORKING CONDITIONSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
