We are advancing the world of Broadcasting and we want YOU to join our winning team!   News Anchor/Reporter KMTR-TV the NBC affiliate in  Springfield, Oregon is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated News Anchor.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   •    Anchor newscasts as assigned, including engaging in the production process leading up to the newscast. •    Participate in special event coverage.  •    Participate in station and community events. •    Write stories and teases. •    Engage viewers daily on Facebook, Twitter and other KMTR web and social media platforms. •    Develop and report on franchise and sweeps stories. •    Writing, shooting, and editing local news stories and special series.  •    Work with news managers to embrace and enhance the news department’s philosophy of asking tough questions and holding those in power accountable. •    Must be able to produce newscasts as needed. •    Other duties as assigned.    Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace!   Required Skills Qualifications:    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
