Channel Sales Manager Opportunity This position is accountable for managing assigned channel partner account(s). This position is expected to develop partner plans and grow revenue by developing strategic relationships with the executive team as well as any field sales and marketing teams at the channel or reseller accounts. Successful execution will result in aggressive revenue and market share growth. Additionally this position participates in the identification and qualification of sales opportunities and the assignment of opportunities to appropriate sales personnel. Essential Functions and Accountabilities Directly manage wireless and M2M markets in the channel focused on Serial Servers, Console Servers, USB Hubs and Converters and the Rabbit brand embedded hardware into a variety of industries such as Data Centers, Building Automation, Industrial Automation, Healthcare, Retail, and Manufacturing. Plan and implement the rollout of Digi products, programs, and solutions to channel partners. Increase skills, competency and commitment of reseller community - especially development of key partners that can sell, install, and support the complete Digi ecosystem Support resellers' efforts to sell Digi solutions (e.g., conduct joint sales calls, assist in capturing RFPs/bids). Assist resellers in strategies to proactively market Digi products to their installed based and local marketplace (e.g., notify resellers of new products and price changes and keep them informed of tactics that may enhance their expertise and/or profitability) making sure channel partner sales activities, are in line with field sales efforts Gain knowledge of the resellers' business including vertical markets, services and expertise. Stay abreast of their markets and competitive products, pricing and programs to enable accurate and appropriate recommendations and demonstrations Maintain knowledge and awareness of competitor’s products, pricing, discount structures and overall strengths and weaknesses Submit territory documentation and reports, as required by management (e.g., forecasting and reporting of channel opportunities, call tracking, etc.)
