Environmental Engineering Project Manager Located in Downers Grove, IL Salary range: 80-160k Direct hire permanent position   Project Management Duties: Directs and coordinates activities of several disciplines on a project of moderate scope or a combination of smaller projects. Direct coordination with clients and other external clients. May initiate or assist in contract negotiations or preparation. Assist in direction of project planning, budgeting and establishing critical project objectives. Other duties as assigned. Technical Duties: This position will be responsible for conducting environmental site assessments (including groundwater, soil and air samples), investigations, remediation, and writing technical reports. The successful candidate must prepare cost estimates, set up subcontracts, maintain and calibrate field equipment. MGP / Manufactured Gas Plants Site experience a plus.     Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or / Environmental Engineering from accredited program or related field with a minimum of 8 years applicable experience (a Master's degree in a related field may substitute one-year of experience). Experience in the Illinois SRP / Site Remediation Program is required. OSHA 40-hour certification is required. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills. This position will require approximately 20% travel to multiple sites throughout Illinois with the ability to lift equipment and bucket samples on a regular basis.
