Try this on for size: Red Wing Shoe Company is looking for a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor to manage the budgets, schedules and daily operations (safety, quality, cost, service) along with improvements to production processes and employee morale at the department level. Core production hours: Monday - Thursday 4:00pm 2:30amESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for management of union employees through communications, coaching, company policies and ensuring the Boot & Shoe labor agreement is adhered to. Participate in continuous improvement planning / implementation and goal setting to improve manufacturing performance measures. Responsible for the production of quality footwear consistent with customer expectations by operating within the RWSC quality system. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing organization standards; adhering to legal requirements and regulations. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordination of new products and changes to existing products through the Design Review Process. Obtain necessary information by maintaining knowledge of RWSC's electronic communication software. Maintain quality service by establishing, following, and enforcing organization quality system standards. Uphold Red Wing Shoe Company's core values. Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by your manager. Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, classes or programs. Conduct self according to RWSC policies / handbook.CUSTOMERS:Internal: All Manufacturing Departments, Logistics, Mfg. Engineering, Product Development, Technology, Project Services, Product Engineering, Quality, HR, and Finance.External: Vendors as needed.EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and three to five years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
