Medix is currently hiring for an exciting opportunity for a Medical Collections Specialist for a National Revenue Recovery Firm.  This is a great opportunity to join an organization that is experience rapid growth that offers career advancement.  While an employee of Medix you will be able to obtain benefits such as PTO, health/dental/vision/life insurance, and 401k!   The following are some of the day to day responsibilities for the Medical Collections Specialist role: Performing medical collections on various payors including Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurances Working through queues of upwards of 40 accounts per day Working with denials/appeals and resubmitting claims Handling first touch on claims to determine follow-up steps Rebilling claims that are underpaid/unpaid Working with delinquent and aged accounts
