Growing food manufacturer in the Boston surrounding area is looking to add a Plant Manager to their team.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:   Oversee all aspects of Production, Safety and Maintenance Directing correspondences with USDA and All State/ Federal Agencies. Ensures compliance with all governmental regulations including licenses and permits being properly in place. Direct report of facilities manager, production manager including hiring, firing and day to day activities of departments. Reviewing and implementing improvement programs/ systems to enhance the productivity of the departments. Reviewing and enhancing production processes, controls and specifications on an ongoing basis Reviewing and reporting on productivity for the departments. Coordinating production, maintenance and operation schedules with all plant departments to ensure on time deliveries are met while ensuring safety and quality programs are in place. Directing maintenance duties and programs appropriately to ensure minimum down time and appropriate PM’s are completed Training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Directly responsible for the organization and maintenance of written programs and pertinent records. Works with QA Manager and other team members for successful 3rd party plant audits for facility. Conducts process and plant audits. Directs and Develops as needed process control procedures ensuring production of finished products meet quality specifications and standards. Identify and analyze problems in order to facilitate solutions. Meeting directly with customers along with sales when needed. Performs other related duties as assigned by management (enforces company policy and practices, anything necessary to meet all federal, state and local laws, in addition to the requirements of our customers) Ability to work flexible hours and accept additional responsibilities as needed.
