CoorsTek currently has an opportunity available for a talented Sales III. This position will be located in Golden, CO. Position Summary: CoorsTek is looking for a dynamic Sales Professional to manage existing customers as well as generate & manage business development opportunities in a diverse group of markets, including Automotive, Electronics, Semi-Conductor and Household Durables. The right candidate must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts and drive for both organic growth & new opportunities, within CoorsTek’s Mission, Vision and Values. The candidate must also be able to propel continuous improvement, Design-for-Manufacturability & customer satisfaction by enabling technical interaction between the customer & CoorsTek’s staff of engineers, scientists and other technical resources. Key Words: Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Manager, Buisness Development Manager, Automotive, Electronics Essential Functions: Business Development Maintains and develops existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations for new products, extensions, or product enhancements. Sell and promote products, systems and services requiring technical knowledge of engineering and costing. Develops clear understanding of the customers’ requirements. Provides on-site customer assistance for material selection, manufacturing process selection and design for manufacturability. Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets. Guides and tracks development projects to completion within a reasonable timeline. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area; drives new product introduction projects. Communication & Relationships Develops and maintains strong relationships with customer contacts: Engineers, Buyers, Program Managers and Executives. Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal contacts at all levels: Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, and Quality, including other CoorsTek facilities. Provides on-site product training to customers and CoorsTek employees. Communicates the voice of the customer to our internal organization and management May direct and supervise others. Market Analysis Develops and maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors. Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand with management approval. Required to develop revenue forecasts and action plans to meet planned forecasts. Provides fact-based market information to management in order to align priorities and support strategic planning. Understands and utilizes financial information. Utilizes available software to analyze sales data for history, trends & forecasting. Technical Support Investigates product warranty claims to ensure resolution when necessary. Provides consultation and troubleshooting for products in severe service environments. May coordinate additional technical engineering support and services to fulfill customer or market needs. Education, Training, and Skill Recommendations/Requirements: Must have: BS degree in a related field and/or 7 years technical sales management experience Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management Knowledge of Automotive, Electronics, and/or Semiconductor markets and their respective requirements a must Command strong communication skills – both oral and written Including written proposals Including developing and delivering presentations Strong negotiation skills Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships Computer literate in MS Office, ERP/MRP systems, data analysis software Travel roughly 25%, occasionally on short notice or for longer periods Technical knowledge of ceramic materials a plus German, Spanish or Mandarin language skills a plus Note: This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities or qualifications associated with the job.
