As the bar for evidence and the demand for value continue to rise in the US healthcare environment, US Health Outcomes is uniquely positioned to deliver on the real world evidence needed to support the value of Lilly products and directly engage customers to answer their questions. The National Account Real World Outcomes Liaison (OL) will be responsible for leading key initiatives with US Health Outcomes (USHO) top prioritized customers which in total account for more than 80% of the commercial prescription drug market, 75% of the Medicare Part D market and 65% of the Specialty Pharmacy market. These organizations influence reimbursement direction and patient behavior, have worldwide influence, operate across the entire US (major plans have 100s of Medical Directors across US), and are a more sophisticated customer with advanced Health Outcomes analytic capabilities. This role will also play a pivotal role in how USHO partners and collaborates with external national customers and key payer authorities in the US. The OL – National Accounts will leverage strong health outcomes technical knowledge and exceptional US value-based customer experience to effectively translate and reinforce value propositions for current assets as well as those in the pipeline for these key external customers and their influencers. This is a leadership position and may have direct reports. Significant leadership, collaboration, and influence skills are necessary. Prioritized Account and Payer Authority Engagement (40-60%) Leads the development and optimization of external medical relationships with healthcare professionals within Lilly’s targeted National AccountsLeverages advanced health outcomes expertise and business acumen to deliver industry-leading scientific engagements and interactions in response to value-based customer (VBC) needsAccountable for creating positive customer experiences for USHO’s top prioritized customers across the entire United States.Creates summaries, presentations, and other material for use with National Account VBCs.Drives the identification, development, and implementation of collaborative customer opportunities to enhance and improve patient outcomes.Identifies potential research opportunities with outcomes research and analytic personnel in major accounts that aligns to a relevant Lilly research agenda and meets all compliance requirements.Coordinates with US National Account Managers to ensure appropriate internal communication occurs on ongoing basis.Partners with Therapeutic Consultants to deliver in-depth therapeutic and disease state knowledge to customers when needed.Provide technical support as needed for research partnerships and outcomes based contractsStrategy and Transformation (20-30%)Responsible for systematically bringing the National Account perspective to the Therapeutic Core Teams and partnering to drive appropriate action. Leads payer feedback and insights activities and projects that link Lilly Brand and Development teams directly with relevant external National Account personnelDrives the development of payer partnerships in collaboration with other USHO and non-USHO personnel.Engages with Lilly Environmental Assessment and Competitive Intelligence teams regarding payer research relevant to Lilly. Engages with professional organizations and health economic and outcomes research thought leaders to drive education, policy awareness, and environmental change. Works across internal functions to remove barriers that impede the delivery of positive customer experiences within the USHO organization.Communicates with Sr. Leadership across the Lilly organization to review the progress of key initiatives.Lead VBS-focused projects to bring the voice of the customer into the organization as well as USHO research.Partner with Outcomes Researcher to ensure understanding of National Account customers while learning about ongoing research and methodologies. Participate in activities designed to insert VBC insights into development milestone decision-makingCross-functionally partner to ensure OL engagements and strategy are well understood and aligned with key business partners.Leadership, Mentoring, and Educating (20-30%)Proactively coaches and mentors OL talent in meeting external customer needs, understanding the payer environment, and HO concepts, tools, and techniques.Ability to teach skills and transfer knowledge to others through formalized training and coaching.Educates and trains Lilly business partners on HO related payer topics.Serve as peer leaders with USHO structure, working to develop a culture of connection focused on the delivery of evidence for VBCs.Potential to supervise one or more Therapeutic Real World Outcomes Consultants.
