Express has partnered with a leading manufacturer of masonry products and hardscaping stones to find a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team. Skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Technicians essential job functions will include: Select products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical characteristics according to ASTM test methods and standards. Operate any diagnostic equipment needed to perform job. Test incoming raw materials and maintain records to analyze for performance trends Aggregate cement testing. SOP writing. Analyze test data to establish incoming raw material specifications. Establishes and maintains a system to inspect all finished goods. Completes quality examinations by applying knowledge of proper company standards and applicable sampling criteria. Inspects finished products by paying attention to height, shape, color and consistency with the use of comparison samples and visual inspections. Identify spec, purchase and setup new lab equipment. Lead quality investigations and establishes corrective actions. Manage and improve on the current quality system. Maintain the quality control manual up to date. Maintain both NCPA and ICC certification through compliance to unannounced audits. Communicates results of inspections and testing to the supervisor and production personnel daily.* Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.* Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.* Performs other related duties as assigned. Additional requirements include: Experience with aggregates or knowledge of concrete testing is highly preferred Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements. Clear communication (oral and written) skills. Ability to keep accurate records. Ability to follow documented procedures and standards. Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently and with little supervision. Self-motivation and have experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be able to work flexible hours. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in QC function in manufacturing.
