SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Manage a team of 6 Demand Planners and Analysts, holding them responsible to accurately forecast item/customer demand. Implement processes to improve monthly forecast accuracy. Manage forecast process and collaborate with team to ensure total monthly forecast aligns with the corporate sales strategy.  Identify forecast risk and opportunities and recommend action plans to merchandising team in order to maximize sales. Ensure forecast utilizes run rate analytics to validate future demand requirements.  Incorporate promotional plan into the forecast and evaluates  sales lift results to determine future promotional sales expectations. Determine actions required to achieve world class forecast accuracy. Communicate demand requirements to the Supply Planning team and collaborate on timing of supply. Incorporate product life cycles into the demand plan to successfully launch new items and also phase out supply on end of life items to minimize excess inventory and mark down risk. Incorporate situation analysis, problem diagnosis, and operations analysis to support business decision making with financial analysis. Implement process improvement projects that support the organization using skills as an experienced forecast professional with a full understanding of industry practices.
