RESPONSIBILITIES:Our client is seeking a Director of Internal Audit in the Nashville, Tennessee (TN) area. Direct an Internal Audit function to manage a variety of financial and information technology audits of company-wide operations and selected business operations with an emphasis on internal controls, operating efficiencies and compliance with government and industry regulations, as well as corporate policies.Duties Include:Manage current external resources, and determine future resourcing needsLead the preparation of internal audit reports and present findings and recommendations to the Senior Leadership, the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors and actively monitor audit related remediation and management action plansInteract with external auditors to plan and coordinate the internal audit activitiesPrepare comprehensive, risk-based annual plan, including a fraud risk assessment and scoping analysisEstablish standards and project methodology for the internal audit functionProven track record of driving improvement in the Internal Audit function, rather than simply enforcing guidelines and policing the organizationHelp manage, support and coordinate with corporate wide compliance programs including internal audit support tools, SOX tools and internal audit work paper and management action plan follow-up toolsHelp ensure compliance with all requirements and deadlines required for quarterly and annual control testing and certifications
