The Director of International Tax will report to the VP of International Tax and have a clear path for career advancement. The Director of International Tax must have 10+ years in tax coupled with management and a minimum of 5 years of international tax. CPA Required. Bachelors in Accounting required, Masters in Tax preferred. Basic Function: Under the direction of the Vice President Tax, responsible for overall foreign tax operations including tax planning and strategy, international tax compliance, tax audits, transfer pricing policies and procedures, and tax accounting matters affecting foreign operations, while ensuring that the entire corporation is in compliance with all International reporting requirements. Primary Job Responsibilities: International Tax Planning Develop international tax planning initiatives by applying knowledge of our business, U.S. international tax laws, foreign tax laws and tax treaties to minimize withholding taxes, foreign taxes, and U.S. taxes on foreign income, including timely use of foreign tax credits (or deductions). Monitor International Tax developments and create tax planning initiatives necessary to either take advantage of the changes or limit the exposure and communicate the potential impact on the Corporation to management. Develop training, document and communicate/educate appropriate business partners on international tax rules and procedures. Assist in developing transfer pricing structures for new initiatives and modifying existing structures as the business evolves. Coordinate with Finance and Accounting and Treasury to ensure tax-efficient cash management. Prepare technical memorandums in support of positions. Assist in M&A projects. SEC Reporting Insure that the impact of our International activity is properly reflected in our SEC reporting. Take an active role in ASC 740 (FIN 48) analysis and documentation. Tax Compliance Prepare timely forecasts of the Companys international tax exposure. Oversee all international tax filings and foreign audits. Oversee preparation of US international tax forms. Managing and training staff Manage the International Tax team. Enhance the tax technical competencies and career development of the International Tax organization. Build and foster relationships across functions and businesses. Take an active role in departmental leadership including responsibility for Associate Engagement. Lead tax staff and others in ensuring work is completed with quality and process efficiency/process improvement in mind. Job Requirements 8 to 12 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in International Tax. Proven ability to research and communicate technical tax issues clearly to non-tax people and work effectively across all levels of internal process owners and external advisors. Success leading an International Tax team Strong communication, presentation and project management skills Strong leadership skills In-depth knowledge of U.S. International tax laws, including Subpart F, FTC, transfer pricing and foreign currency Knowledge of ASC-740, formerly FAS 109 Experience with supply chain planning preferred The Director of International Tax must have strong leadership experience to be considered. The target salary is 150K plus a very competitive bonus structure and benefits package. The ideal Director of International Tax with have worked in a Big 4 Public Accounting firm and may be paired with corporate international tax experience.
