* Effectively troubleshoot refrigeration and electro-mechanical equipment using schematic and mechanical drawings, procedure and troubleshooting documents, hand-held and computer based test equipment. Perform repairs or replacements of equipment as necessary.* Perform refrigerant system repair work on the railcar, including leak detection, reclamation of refrigerant, evacuation, charging of R407C, and copper pipe brazing repairs.* Evaluate, troubleshoot and repair HVAC electric, control systems and peripheral equipment.* Prepare reports and other paperwork as necessary (e.g., equipment installation results, test results, work orders, any customer required documents, etc.).* Maintain modification tracking documentation, monitor car availability reports for equipment to be modified or repaired.* Receive and ship parts and/or materials as needed. Support inventory control practices and manage "as-required" supplies effectively to avoid shortages and minimize waste* Associate's Degree in Specialized Technologies, accredited non-degree HVAC diploma or related field of study; plus minimum 3 years' years HVAC field repair/service experience, relevant transit experience and field work or equivalent education and experience. * Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems and networks as gained through training, Universal EPA Section 608 Technician Certifications and a current Brazing Certification(preferred). * Computer literate with emphasis on MS Office products including Word and Excel.About Aerotek:Aerotek, headquartered in Hanover, Md., is a leading provider of technical, professional and industrial staffing services.
