The intake coordinator performs new patient intake procedures and identifies appropriate candidates for house calls by screening patients and verifying insurance benefits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for processing new patient intake referrals received via fax, email or phone. • Responsible for providing assistance to referral sources, patients, or their families with questions about procedures within the practice. • Responsible for assisting billing with special projects or backlog • Adhere to all company policies and procedures. • Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone’s responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Minimum Qualifications: Education/Licensing/Certification: LVN State of Texas Experience: • customer service experience (preferred) Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of basic medical terminology Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task and work independently to meet deadlines and goals Ability to speak Spanish (preferred) Ability to use / operate standard office equipment and tools, outlook, excel, word, EMR system including visit note, VOIP Phone system, knowledge of insurance plans, ability to operate eligibility verification
