Job Description: Candidate will be responsible for executing major tasks in the advanced design of digital electronics. Candidate will join an engineering organization whose charter is to develop advanced electronics for visible, infrared, and LADAR camera systems. Candidate is expected to contribute to a process that enables the efficient design of digital electronics meeting the process rigor and design robustness required in an aerospace and defense environment.General technical tasks include VHDL-based RTL digital design, test-bench design, timing analysis, mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, and integration of Memories, A-D converters, FPGAs and microcontrollers. Other responsibilities include design documentation, bread-boarding, test, and troubleshooting.This is an individual contributor role which will include digital design, and some technical supervision.Required Skills: A minimum of 8 years professional engineering experience. Proficiency with VHDL or Verilog for configuring FPGAs. Leadership experience in digital design, simulation, analysis, and test. Experience in Functional Verification flows using Vera or System Verilog for ASICs or FPGAs. Experienced in digital circuits for video processing. Must be proficient at circuit analysis and documentation. Good presentation, documentation, and communication skills. Must be process oriented and able to complete designs on schedule and within budget. Prior experience successfully executing quick turn developments for commercial, defense, and/or space industries. Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.Desired Skills: Experience with XILINX Zynq and Vivado toolset. Knowledge of real-time embedded video design, and networked intelligent sensing applications. Familiarity with ModelSim, SPICE, Code and Functional Coverage analyses. Experience with LINUX OS, driver creation, BSP development, and system image maintenance. Networking using USB 2.0/3.0, 802.11ac and other advanced network standards. Working knowledge of electronic components Working knowledge C/C++ and TCL programming. Familiarity with embedded OS's, e.g. VxWorks, QNX, Embedded Linux, etc. Familiarity with Built-In-Test coverage analysis. OPEN CV and Vivado HLS Experience. Six Sigma / process improvement experience.Required Education: BS or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
