CRITICAL SKILLS: Six months recent retail experience. Ability to communicate in English. Sufficient eyesight and manual dexterity to differentiate between and classify items. Ability to stand for eight hours. Ability to bend and twist. Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds. Ability to pass a post-offer physical. Pre-sorts, sorts, prices and displays items in an appropriate manner. Merchandises all displays with donated and new goods. Maintains stock in store by stocking or removing items from racks and shelves as per the supervisor’s instructions. Provides exceptional customer service to all customers – internal or external. Assists in maintaining cleanliness of retail and production areas. Watches for illegal activity of customers and informs the manager. Works with as much speed, efficiency and accuracy as possible. All work reflects a neat, professional image. Participates in sorting of tables or gaylords; loading of recycling commodities, and disposal of trash. Moves material within warehouse as needed using rolling carts, pallet jacks, and/or forklifts in a safe and efficient manner. Effectively discriminates recyclable commodities from waste. Accurately sorts commodities into categories, as requested by supervisor. Ensures production goals are met by processing the required number of tables and/or Gaylords. Informs lead of issues, concerns, and process improvements to ensure goals are met and effective communication between teams and recycling supervisor is achieved. Meets attendance and punctuality requirements. Attends store meetings, training meetings when required. Complies with all safety rules. Helps ensure work environment is safe for employees /customers. Willing to be cross-trained in other store functions as determined by manager. Demonstrates ethics and complies with Corporate Compliance Program. Meets Mandatory Yearly Training Hours requirement for this position.
