Serves as a member of the management team and reports to the Vice President of Operations.    The Safety Manager is responsible for the following program components:   Ensuring that the company is in compliance with all necessary programs, practices, training and documentation as required by our insurance company as well as state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA). Including, but not limited to the following: Hearing Conservation Program Respiratory Protection Program Lock Out / Tag Out Program Responsible for reporting all recordable incidents to our claims management company including workers’ compensation, etc.  Monitor lost-time injuries/illnesses and Worker's Compensation Claims. Documenting and recording all incidents, accidents and near misses. Responsible for the training and development of all new and existing employees in regards to safety Hold  Safety Committee Meetings on a monthly basis in accordance with company policy. Conducting monthly facility inspections Creating and maintaining Job Safety Analysis for all job roles and work functions Conducting the annual Core Assessment Audit with our Risk Management Consultant from our insurance company Documenting any and all Safety Violations and reviewing all Safety Violations documented by other managers. Maintain a log of key Safety Performance indicators Quantify the efficiency of safety programs through incident and violation rates Track all incidents and violations combined to identify areas where improved safety efforts need to be made Maintain and foster a culture of safety amongst all management members and employees Maintain, review and amend the company Safety Policy Manual Provide first-aid treatment to affected employees, as needed Assist the management team including the following Downtime Reporting Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics Additional reporting, metrics and performance tracking as needed Attend the Risk Control Workshops for our insurance company Review injury/illness and non-injury incident investigation reports and follow-up as necessary.
