My biotech client is focused on delivering business benefits through investment in new capital assets, and they seek a Senior Capital Projects Manager to take on the following tasks: Perform estimating activities in support of Global Engineering projects to provide reliable information for effective decision making, planning and control purposes. Oversee and reconcile the preparation of estimates by outside firms (both conceptual and detailed). Prepare conceptual estimates for projects at early stages.   Assist in the development of estimating guidelines, procedures, standards, tools, and templates. Assist in the benchmarking process including collection and management of data used for cost estimate preparation. Perform cost management activities in support of Global Engineering projects to provide proactive and accurate information to teams. Ensure proactive problem identification, analysis and recommend corrective action. Implement cost trending tools to allow for early and accurate cost forecasts. Perform planning & scheduling activities in support of Global Engineering projects.   Assist in the development and implementation project controls guidelines, procedures, business processes, systems and tools that enable the accurate and efficient evaluation of project performance and optimize the delivery of projects from inception through licensure. Develop and maintain project reports including: cost financial analysis and forecasts, cash flows, contingency/ management reserve rundown/trends, plus project risk assessments impacting schedule and cost.                The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: BS degree, MBA preferred and 10+ years of relevant experience Biopharmaceutical experience & knowledge Multi-discipline project control experience & desire Experience with Cost Estimating, Planning & Scheduling, Project Benchmarking, Cost Management,  Risk Management and Cost & Schedule Controls Fundamental knowledge in cost estimation, cost management and planning/scheduling. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Able to work in a cross-functional role within all project and management organizations. Certification in Project Control/Cost Engineering or Project Management is a plus.
