So we’re looking for exceptionally talented and results-oriented individuals to join us and deliver on our promises to our customers, dealers, employees and shareholders.In this role the Supply Manager - Navistar Defense will be responsible for:Work with the platform team to develop and execute the commodity strategy for the office that supports the overall strategy for ProcurementProvide data to support fair and reasonable justification in compliance to our CPSR requirementsBuild and manage relationships with cross functional teams and management.Identify and develop new cost reduction opportunities by using all the levers available including resourcing, global sourcing, negotiation, technology, footprint optimization, parts etc.Negotiating with internal customers and external suppliers to maximize results for NavistarFacilitate communications between external suppliers and various internal departments to resolve any queries or issues that may ariseBuild strong strategic partnerships with military component suppliers to ensure that product quality, on time delivery and service levels are metAnalyze product costs and understanding cost driversLead the implementation of costs reduction initiatives to maximize savingsResponsibilitiesThis role will support one or more of the following functions: material and services sourcing, procurement, supplier management, production planning, transportation, inventory control, distribution, and process reengineering. Basic Requirements:At least 7 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experienceORBachelor’s degreeAt least 5 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experienceORMaster’s degreeAt least 3 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experienceQualificationsQualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
