Based in Houston, Texas, the company’s operations in the United States and Canada include more than 22,000 miles of natural gas, natural gas liquids, and crude oil pipelines; approximately 305 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas storage; 4.8 million barrels of crude oil storage; as well as natural gas gathering, processing, and local distribution operations.Company:  Spectra EnergyDepartment:  Central OperationsLocation:  Lebanon, OHPosting Date:  March 04, 2015Closing Date:  March 15, 2015Responsibilities/Job Description:   As an Electrical Controls Technician you will be trained in Spectra Energy’s safety, operating and maintenance procedures related to plant electrical and control systems.    Duties and responsibilities will consist of: learning to inspect, maintain and trouble-shoot natural gas compressor station electrical, control and auxiliary equipment which includes: - pneumatic, electrical, electronic and PLC (Siemens and Allen Bradley preferred) based prime mover control systems – UPS systems, medium voltage electrical distribution and motor control equipment, and – plant auxiliary equipment such as data acquisition and compressed air systems.Basic/Minimum Qualifications:The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma or equivalent education, plus a two-year Associate Degree in an appropriate technical field or equivalent training.  One to four years of work experience as an EC technician Desired Qualifications:Comments:Successful applicant must be willing to relocate within 30 miles of the work location.  The Hiring Manager will consider filling this position at a higher level within the respective job family/hierarchy based upon the skills and qualifications of the candidate.
