*This position is responsible for the daily production welding in a manufacturing environment. This includes monitoring work for quality, timeliness, problem solving and decision making on routine work. Lifting requirements: up to 40 lbs., loading and unloading fixtures on a regular basis.*Locates weld locations on blueprints and other schematic drawings for the sub-assembly or assembly. *Arranges parts and structures of common weldments, usually guided by patterns or fixtures. Verifies that layouts comply with drawings and symbols. *Loads, unloads, and places into position a variety of welding fixtures, depending on the production team needs. *Measures distances using precision devices. Verifies accuracy by comparing to measurement specifications. *Prepares welding equipment for proper usage. Verifies proper energy source and supplies. Prepares the layout of equipment to perform as needed.
