(APR) has provided professional recruiting and contingent workforce solutions to a diverse mix of clients, industries, and skill sets nationwide.Job Overview:APR Consulting is looking for an Accountant in Rockville, MD who will prepare accounting, financial, regulatory reports; will also prepare general ledger reports and be asked to represent the Accounting department in outside parties.Required Experience: - 3 years demonstrated experience as a Staff Accountant - Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting procedures - Excellent spreadsheet (Excel) word processing (Word) skills and general database (Access) skills - Intermediate to Expert Level Skills - PeopleSoft experiencePreferred Experience: - Experience in reporting tools (Business Objects, Cognos). - Experience in Health Care Industry. - Experience with Microsoft Access - Experience with Inventory reconciliations and subsequent accounting - Intermediate to advanced PeopleSoft GL module experience - Prefer CPA or CPA candidateRequired Education: - BS degree (Accounting or Finance Related)Skills to be successful in this role: - Ability to handle multiple tasks and solve problems independently - Ability to work within structure and prioritize tasks effectively - Aptitude for numbers, strong attention to detail and well-organized - Effective communicator - Flexible, innovative self-starterCompensation: $30/hourWe pay weekly every Friday, have direct deposit, and offer a competitive benefits package: Medical, Dental Vision, 401k plan, etc. - Benefits available shortly into this contract (30+ days - starting with the 1st of the month following 30 days of service).Our client is hiring quickly so if you are excited to discuss this and your qualifications greatly match this job opportunity, then, apply today!
