Parent and Subsidiary Accounting is seeking an accountant that is highly energetic, motivated, independent and can accomplish tasks both individually and through others while working in a fast paced, corporate environment. This person performs complex activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and for developing financial statements and reports. Duties may include: gathering information for and preparing financial and regulatory reports; reviewing data from the general ledger to assure adherence to internal and external accounting principles and practices and related internal controls, compiling reports providing supplemental SEC filing information, determining and preparing journal entries; preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and certifications; and performing a variety of research, analyses or projects relating to financial accounting procedures, methods or systems. Areas of responsibility may include:Preparation, review and/or analysis of components of the Consolidated Statement of Cash Flows, various other statements and footnotes within SEC filings and the FRY-9LP – Parent Company Only Financial Statements for Large Holding CompaniesCalculation, preparation or review of journal entries and reconciliations related to share dilution, tax credit investments, stock compensation, other corporate equity transactions, equity method accounting to support stand-alone company regulatory reporting, inter-company eliminations and various other accounting processes.Preparing or reviewing documentation related to procedures and controls related to our accounting and reporting processes.Other accounting and reporting processes as new or changing requirements develop within the Controller’s Area.
