As the bar for evidence and the demand for value continue to rise in the US healthcare environment, US Health Outcomes is uniquely positioned to deliver on the real world evidence needed to support the value of Lilly products and directly engage customers to answer their questions. The purpose of the Therapeutic Real World Outcomes Consultant is to serve as a therapeutic expert and point of connection within the US Health Outcomes (USHO) team structure, as well as a key therapeutic lead with national account value-based decision makers. This role is uniquely designed to ensure full line-of-sight to all internal USHO activities within a therapeutic area, and tasked with ensuring the National Accounts-focused Customer Engagement team is well-positioned to deliver competitor-leading therapeutic insights and support for Lilly’s largest value-based customers. The Therapeutic Real World Outcomes Consultant serve as therapeutic experts within USHO and collaborate extensively across functions that enable USHO’s success including MHS, USMD, Brand Teams, and Legal. The Consultants are responsible for developing customer response materials and when needed, also engage directly with external value based customers. Significant leadership, collaboration, and influence skills are necessary. Customer Solution Support/Development (60-70%) Lead cross-cutting USHO therapeutic team designed to ensure: 1) customer insights are translated into research; 2) USHO connection and coordination across research and liaison roles; and, 3) provide value-based customer-focused connection back to business units and therapeutic brand teams.Lead value-based customer aligned “hubs” (e.g., US Research Policy) with operational support from USHO Project Management team.Serve as primary point of therapeutic expertise for National Account Liaison team, including comprehensive knowledge of external research as well as internally completely, planned, and ongoing research activities for assigned therapeutic area.Understand and communicate payer insights/intelligence and systematically shares that with internal teams to guide and influence the development and execution of a research agenda that will deliver on customer data and information needs. Partner with National Account Liaisons in identification, development and implementation of collaborative customer opportunities.Implement payer-focused solutions that address unique payer needs to appropriately manage cost, quality, and outcomes concerns/issues that are in alignment with Lilly’s strategy and philosophyParticipate in USHO, USMD, and Brand business planning activities to ensure the voice of the customer is accounted for within USHO proposed and funded studiesAssists in development and update enduring materials to communicate health economics, value, and outcomes information regarding Lilly products through Medical Information and Communication Sciences (MICS)/The Lilly Answers Center (TLAC) Influence and contribute to the strategy and application of Lilly-initiated outcomes studies, with the potential to take part in research teams as contributors to conceptualization and design of USHO research. Provide outcomes therapeutic area support at professional meetings.National Account Customer Engagement (25-30%)Accountable for creating positive customer experiences for national payers within a designated area of therapeutic responsibility, under the guidance and supervision of the National Account Liaison.Responds to unsolicited requests for information from national account customers and provides external communication to customers in a credible, transparent, and balanced manner.Communicates and disseminates clinical safety, efficacy and health outcomes / pharmacoeconomic information specific to the assigned disease state of interest upon unsolicited request.Prioritization and effective management of customer base for targeted relationship development and managementLeadership and Organizational effectiveness (10%) Collect and disseminate monthly customer insights and interactions to key cross-functional business partners.Ensure all necessary and appropriate regulatory and/or legal review of communication materials Capture and share unanswered questions with USHO and USMD for prioritization and potential action. Demonstrate awareness of the external environment, including competitors, regulators, professional organizations, and customers The OL will be responsible for identifying, developing, and/or implementing necessary process/operational improvements in order to ensure effective communication and collaboration within USHO as well as with internal USHO business partners.Know and follow the ethics and compliance requirements of the Outcomes Consultant job. Leverage the GHO Business Process Map (BPM) tool to enable compliance, as needed, with the Medical Quality System (MQS) policies, procedures and standards.
