TOOLING ENGINEER – CUSTOM PROFILE EXTRUSION   We have 4 clients looking for experienced Tooling Engineers in the Southeast, Midwest, and Great Lakes regions!   SUMMARY:  Here is the opportunity to step up into a tooling management or engineering management role in the next 1-2 years if you have the skills and drive to succeed!  My client is a manufacturer of custom extruded polymer products for various markets, and they seek an experienced Tooling Engineer to design new dies and calibrators, managing projects from concept through introduction to the plant floor.  The location is a low-cost area that offers a variety of town sizes in which to live, great outdoor recreation, and great schools.   Note:  We are conducting a nationwide search and the location in which this position is advertised is very likely not where it is located.  We will hold your information in strict confidence and will share company information prior to interview.   Primary Duties   Building on your experience in extrusion processing, the primary responsibility of the Tooling Engineer will be to manage new product development projects from concept through introduction to the plant floor. The Tooling Engineer will design products and tooling and will manage the tooling projects through completion (including die tuning). The Tooling Engineer will be a critical member of our cost reduction teams.  The Tooling Engineer will establish operating procedures for new or improved products. The Tooling Engineer will establish testing criteria for Quality Assurance
