The kayak instructor position offers a suitable salary with incentives designed to share the organisations success. It is a full time job with 5,5 days per week or equivalent. A flexible start time is available for successful applicants although an immediate start is preferred.

About the position

Customer Relations: you will be involved throughout the full process from first contact to the kayaking experience. You will uphold the HAKC’s highest proven track record in being able to provide an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Guiding Tours With Flexible Hours: as part of a growing team you will be required to lead guests on a variety of tours including solo paddlers and large groups. You will be required to work flexible hours with some days commencing before the popular sunrise paddle and others concluding after sunset. You will regularly work Saturdays and Sundays with
midweek “weekends”.

Fleet Management: before and after each paddle you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is in working order, in its rightful place and ready for use. You will maintain existing kayaks, canoes and equipment at its current high quality.

Marketing: using both direct and indirect methods you will seek to promote the kayaking experience. This will include producing promotional material, managing social media accounts and the website (www.hoiankayak.com), responding to inquiries online, via phone and in person, meeting with booking agents and other stakeholders to promote the
services. You will also pro-­‐actively approach potential customers.
