Vaco Atlanta today received an exclusive Accounting Analyst role for a growing insurance agency located in Duluth, GA. We have placed 2 employees at this agency with very positive feedback.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in resolution of cash applicationResolve direct bill suspense account items in a timely and accurate manner.Assist in obtaining direct bill statements, checks and supporting information from insurance markets.Prepare detailed client account analysis as requested.Determine appropriate disposition of checks received at the agency.Respond to internal and external customer inquiries in a timely manner.Primary point of contact for Accounts Payable with agency's insurance marketsThoroughly review disbursement packages for accuracy prior to check preparation.Mail carrier commission checks received for agents.Run Open Cash Receipts (Direct Bill Tracking) monthly - follow up with carriers on cases we have not received monies; request immediate payment.Process carrier override statements within 15 days (max) of receipt.Send debit memos and follow-up with agents who owe money. Requirements: High School diploma required. Some college courses preferred.Minimum 2 years of accounts receivable, accounts payable or similar accounting process experience.Minimum 2 years insurance brokerage accounting experience preferred.Proficient in Excel, Word.Agency management system experience highly preferredStrong analytical and problem solving skills.Exceptional attention to detail.Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize issues.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated customer service focus.Strong teamwork orientation; willingness to help larger team meet goals and responsibilities.Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.Demonstrated ability to take initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment
