Plan new Web Application or Automation Tool implementations or major upgrades using Microsoft Project.  Provide key milestones and tracking to identify if the implementation is on track to meet the milestones.  Included in the planning will be task documentation and deadline planning to keep the project on track. 2. Educate staff and mentor them on the SDLC by using the concepts in a system development project, from the initial steps (feasibility study, requirements analysis, systems analysis) through maintenance of the completed application. 3. Facilitate improvement initiatives related to system development/administration by developing process/procedure documentation and project action plans, in collaboration with PFS leaders and staff. Act as a project leader and oversee implementation of improvement initiatives and projects according to established plans and deadlines. 4. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, champion the process improvement initiative by documenting and presenting the requirements for the change and potential for cost savings.  Lead approved projects to implement the cost-savings opportunities. 5. Create Change Management process/policies for Web Applications, Automation Tools, proration rules, and other system changes to ensure that the change is made with proper documentation, user notification, and approvals.  Enforce Change Management policies so that unauthorized changes do not occur and approved changes are made with proper notification and documentation. 6. Lead proration team to maintain a schedule of key update dates for proration rules, such as Medicare OP quarterly updates, yearly DRG updates, and yearly increases for the Managed Care contracts.  Also work with proration team to maintain Proration Issue/Update Log to facilitate communication with other departments.  7. Oversee table and system maintenance related to all System operations and performance and coordinate communications between Core IS and PFS in identifying and resolving operating issues. 8. Research and suggest improvements to current systems and system selection efforts in agreement with PFS and Health System goals.  Facilitate all new system implementations, as Revenue Cycle Software Project Manager and, monitor for and resolve any issues. 9. Establish and implement department procedures and, review and improve existing procedures.  Educate staff on and/or distribute all internal and external information to ensure staff members have the tools and knowledge to successfully perform job functions in compliance with company and PFS policies and procedures. Ensure staff members develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the Meditech patient accounting and Microsoft desktop systems utilized by PFS. 10. Communicate with all levels in operating areas, ministry department personnel, representatives of the health care community and any external contacts (i.e., federal, state, outside vendors and third party payors) to address concerns and resolve issues. PREFERRED Experience: > Meditech patient accounting system experience > EPIC patient accounting system experience > Healthcare Managed Care contract experience > Government reimbursement for healthcare services > Microsoft Visual Basic or Visual FoxPro programming experience > Microsoft .NET experience > Boston Workstation > AutoHotKey or other key stroke scripting tools > Xcelsius or other Flash Graph Dashboards > SQL Server Management Studio 2005+ This position will manage the Revenue Cycle Reporting/Analytics, System/Process Automation and Maintenance, and Invoice Processing Teams.  Reporting/Analytical experience, Process Improvement, Process Automation, System Maintenance, Project Planning, EPIC experience, or Meditech experience.
