Friendship Village is a not-for-profit community established in 1978, governed by an independent Board of Directors and managed by United Church Homes. Our mission is to promote independence, wellness and community for older adults in an active and friendly continuing-care environment. Friendship Village of Columbus is seeking a MDS Nurse (PRN, Day Shift) to add to our exceptional team and community. The MDS Nurse will provide vacation and as-needed coverage for the MDS Coordinator.   Duties include completion of the MDS, CAA’S and Plan of Care, staying current with all state and federal regulations that pertain to the MDS, CAA’S and Plan of Care, assuring that MDSs are completed within CMS and Medicare guidelines; Coordinating and completing the MDS, resident care plans, and conferences on the computerized system; Assuring accuracy and completeness of entire medical record; Ensuring MDS electronic submission occurs per State regulations; Participating in family/resident care plan conferences; Writing episodic problems on care plans and updating care plans per regulations; Assuring effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to medical record documentation.
