For more information about our business please visit us on the web at www.duke-energy.com.  This position is located in Elizabeth City, NC The Manager- Solar Operations I will function as the manager of personnel working in the field as Lead PV Technicians and/or Supervisors- Solar Operations. He/she will initiate and administer the hiring process for Contingent Workers as well as Permanent Duke Energy positions as approved by management. He/she will manage both the workforce in the field as well as the work flow process. Responsibilities will also include administration of AP processes, labor management and parts/services procurement, all in accordance with site budgets. This position will also assume responsibilities in regards to planning for staffing, budgets, resources, etc. • Maintenance & upkeep of the CMMS (Maximo) as it is utilized for management of work at all of our solar facilities• Scheduling of work as necessary at our solar facilities including PM’s, repairs, outages, etc. Coordination of vendors, contractors & suppliers• Management of Lead PV Technicians (Sr. Solar Technician) and/or Field Supervisor (Supervisor- Solar Operations) including hiring, performance management, payroll approval• Coordination of AP processes including CAPS, Maximo and PeopleSoft Applications in support of Duke Owned solar facilities• Responsible for interfacing with power off-takers / customers Job-specific knowledge, skills or abilities:• 3 years supervisory / contractor oversight experience• 5 years of experience with a work management system• 5 years of plant maintenance experience• Demonstrated effective leadership skills
