Manufacturing Supervisor   Rome, NY   POSITION SUMMARY:   The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible to be the leader of a safe, motivated, disciplined team that meets or exceeds expectations for safety, quality, internal/external customer satisfaction and financial objectives.  The major challenge is to keep everyone safe while meeting customer expectations of quality and delivery on a daily basis.  Must have the ability to work any shift.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   Keep all employees safe and supervise all personnel and operations on the shift. Communicates job expectations and accomplishes results by planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees; initiates, coordinates, and enforces, systems, policies, and procedures. Maintains a thorough knowledge of all processes, equipment, and systems. Trains, evaluates, reviews, and upgrades all operations. Organizes and schedules work to ensure a smooth running operation. An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, rules, regulations, and housekeeping. Works directly with the scheduling, quality, and maintenance departments to resolve issues. Systems and continuous improvement orientation. Measurement of performance to goals and standards. Problem analysis and resolution. An ability to manage multiple priorities. Implement and sustain the 5-S program. Meet goals for safety, quality, on-time delivery, budget and profit. Provide leadership to support continuous improvement of processes and people using the tools of 5S, SPC, TPM, 80/20 Methodology, Lean Manufacturing, and team oriented problem solving. Provide regular and effective communication to all levels of the organization. Meet personal objectives as agreed to with your manager Conducts daily assignments of operations and facility to ensure compliance with operations and safety standards Perform miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.
