Mechanical Skills required.JOB DESCRIPTION:•         Follow test methods and execute mechanical testing to support product development from proof of concept through design verification/validation.•         Effectively communicate test results, observations, and conclusions back to team members.•         Maintain auditable documentation of tests performed in lab notebooks and reports as needed.•         Work closely with engineers to develop and validate test methods and identify sources of variation.•          Knowledge and experience in materials testing and control. •         Familiarity with laboratory equipment including tensile/compression and torque machines, drill press, band saw etc.•         Performs QC/equipment maintenance, understands lab safety involving potentially infectious bio-waste.•         Clean and maintain laboratory areas and equipment according to 6s procedures.•         Train/assist fellow technicians and co-ops on new test methods.•         Individual is familiar with basic scientific principles and have some laboratory experience.•         Must be comfortable working with animal and cadaveric tissue.•         Possess strong time management, interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.•         Experience with Bluehill, Wavematrix, and Testworks software is a plus.•         A degree, GMP, GLP, FDA, RCRA, and OSHA knowledge may be required.
