The Operational Key Account Manager will oversee a large high end retail customer with all warehousing related projects and all day to day activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, interest in high end fashion and will represent the company in a professional manner. Project management experience and prior customer facing experience is desirable.Duties and Responsibilities:o Lead projects driven by customer requesto Maintain and build customer relationship within the US.o Engage in and facilitate daily contact with customer (face-to-face, phone, email).o Act as an intermediary between operational Kuehne + Nagel branches and customer.o Execute specific customer defined analytical functions in support of warehousing operationso Act as direct point of contact within escalation matrix defined for customer exceeds local branch/facility contactso Point of contact for client as related to SOP developmento Proactively work with customer and sales/operational staff in facilitating corrective actions when required.o Identification of business opportunities building on existing operational capabilities and client relationshipso Develop new business propositions by analyzing existing operational capabilities and client relationships (e.g. Cost Saving Programs)o Must act on customers behalf respective to articulating needs and requirements to the greater Kuehne + Nagel operational organizationo Point of contact for client for issues related to SOP, operational and administrative non-compliance matters. Inclusive of, but not limited to:o SOP Definitions with business field stakeholderso SOP maintenance and distributiono Regular (timeline TBD) reviews of Sop for accuracy and relevanceo Regular review of transactional data to support adherence to SOPo Operational escalationo Set up processes with operational team for new business gained through RFQ's.o Monitoring of internal compliance (Billing, Status update)o Assist in configuration of KPI’s to client in close cooperation with Business Field management.o Root cause analysis of metrics below minimum requirements with local and regional operational management staff.o Assist in preparation of QBR material/data, as well as attend US QBR’s.o Access to all reporting/operational/financial IT systems required.Job Requirements:o Ideally will have knowledge of warehousing operations, including systems and processeso Self driven analysis of process and performance related to KPI's with the help of the applicable systemso Confidential handling customer communicationo Must be able to drive customer compliance through effective communication of international trade regulations and must convey ability as an SME - subject matter expert in such topicso Must have experience in dealing with multi-national and multi-business unit organizationso Must have experience in customer relationship managemento Must have in-depth knowledge and skills in on-boarding new business through executing effective implementation best practicesQualifications:o At least 3 years operational background in warehousingo College Degree in Logistics, management or related fields preferredo Fully computer Literateo Able to travel
