Position Description Position Title: Plant Feed Loader Operator Pipeline Level: Self Reports To: Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Direct Reports: N/A Department/Division: Oldcastle Materials Group/GP Division Prepared Date: January 20, 2015 Last Revised Date: January 20, 2015 Position Overview: Provide for Safe, Efficient loading of Haul Trucks and portable feed bins on Aggregate sites. Perform general labor and preventive maintenance tasks as needed. Heavy Equipment Loader and Off-Road trucks operator skills needed. Possibility for future area advancement. This is a Union (Local 49er’s) wage scale position. Key Responsibilities, Knowledge, and Skills Required: Safety Minded in all aspects of work activities which covers the ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures and policies. Help perform daily safety checks of all equipment and site operations. Assist in Continuous Site Improvement through use of performance standards. Honest and ethical to all staffing, co-workers and customers. Daily Communication with Plant Supervisor, and Co-Workers.  (Good People Skills) A willingness to learn and also teach others proper job skills in a safe and efficient manner. Mechanically Inclined with the ability to use power and or hand tools, welder, torch or other tools needed to perform the job. Equipment preventive maintenance on all equipment operated.  This includes basic vehicle/ equipment start-up and shut-down inspections.  Also checking tire pressure, oil and other fluid levels on a daily basis. Ability to operate heavy and light equipment as needed. Assist at times or the knowledge of basic equipment maintenance. Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Prior experience in the Heavy Construction industry or Aggregates Production Industry very helpful. Some computer skills necessary (windows, excel, general email). Additional Requirements: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if needed. Reliable personal vehicle for possible travel to various job-sites as needed. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 plus pounds. Work at elevated heights if needed.
