The Accountant will be responsible for preparing assigned journal entries and account reconciliation's on a monthly basis. The Accountant duties will also include: Researching and resolving reconciling items Reviewing internal financial statement for accuracy Researching budget variances Preparing quarterly and annual statutory financial pages and exhibits Developing plans to achieve or exceed individual performance goals Representing the Insurance Accounting section at various meetings Communicating effectively with other team members to ensure goals and reporting deadlines are met Requirements: BS in Accounting required 5+ years of relevant experience, including private industry Prior professional services industry experience is a plus (E.g. Financial Services, Insurance, Public Accounting) Experience working in a medium to large, fast paced company Experience working in a heavy deadline driven environment Strong communication skills CPA and/or plus Prior Oracle experience a plus.
