Category:  Professional (Non-Nursing) Facility:  Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital Department:  Purchasing Shift:  Days Hours:  8:00am-5:00pm JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Purchasing Agent will perform the function of business agent for the organization ensuring compliance with legal, contractual and ethical postures in support of Eskenazi Health’s educational, research and service missions. This position will negotiate and develop long term contracts together with pricing agreements, and/or service standards, issue purchase orders as well as investigate finance options, inventory control methods, product and supplier performance requirements, insurance, bonding and medical device taxes. The Senior Purchasing Agent will manage key supplier relationships, establish new relationships, develop innovative approaches to value add, drive annual cost down initiatives, support annual corporate goals, and maintain deep product/service knowledge.
