Are you ready to GO?Responsibilities•Under general direction, provides expert technical advice and assistance in interpreting toxicological and health data (e.g., epidemiological) relative to individual chemicals and mixtures and their effects on health related values•Conduct human health and ecological risk assessments and apply to product life cycle (DNELs, PNELs, OELs, control bands, etc.)•Provide toxicological assessments based on analyzes of technical publications and by utilizing various non-testing tools to fill data gaps (QSAR, Read-across, categorical classification, etc.) •Working knowledge of hazard communications and labeling regulations, such GHS, REACH (CLP), TSCA and other related regulatory schemes•Aid in the development of chemical dossiers and subsequent agency responses related to product registration•Prepare fully comprehensive toxicological profiles of materials relative to site-specific hazardous waste regulatory actions•Maintain professional knowledge of regulations and requirements related to chemicals, chemical registration, and product stewardship•Provide technical direction to less experienced employees•Provide expert knowledge of chemical, toxicological and health data for hazardous organic and inorganic substances•Work closely with technology in the research and development of new chemicals and how they may impact operations, employee safety or health, or the environment•Responsible for working with Procurement and Materials, and chemical vendors and suppliers to ensure that appropriate information is obtained, and that company standards are followed in the procurement of chemicals•May provide technical advice on chemical handling to less experienced employees and to operations and shared services personnel•Work to ensure the development and implementation of policies and processes relative to the appropriate registration and licensing of new chemicals in the various jurisdictions in which the Company operates •Other duties may include report writing, data analysis and interpretation, training development and implementation •Reports to Global Chemical Stewardship ManagerQualifications•6+ years toxicologist experience required •College degree in related field required.
