Our concept is a cross between a hotel and an apartment; we are a new concept and operate in niche - weekly/monthly hotel room rentals. With all of the turmoil in employment and housing foreclosures we have a product that is in high demand, with occupancy rates over 85% nationwide. As the largest economy extended stay lodging franchise in the U.S. we currently operate over 180 hotels in more than 30 states.  By December 2016 we have plans to open another 125 locations, with goals to have 1,000 locations nationwide.  Our property management company is ranked in the top 20 largest company owned PMCs with locations throughout the U.S. We seek an Area Manager who has prior multi-unit management, maintenance, or sales background. Our business model is much simpler than full service hotels; more closely aligned with apartment property management, i.e. weekly rentals only, limited front desk hours of service, no pool, no dining, etc. Outside sales experience is preferred. Critical skills include management selection and training, cost control, local store marketing, and a commitment to quality. The Area Manager will supervise 6 locations.  You will recruit, select, orient, train, and manage a management staff of 10-13 with hotel staffs of 3-5 per hotel. Your primary focus is managing the growth of our revenue and profit in the market. Area Managers work a 60 hour, 5 ½ day work week. We pay all travel expenses, but overnight stays are seldom required. Area Managers need to be prepared to make marketing calls to area business because they are an important part of our growth. Our compensation package is superior, (average income $80K) and our benefits are first class. We offer a fast track training program that requires area manager trainees to travel extensively during their three month training program before final assignment.
