DFW Based Fortune 500 Manufacturing firm seeks experience Benefits Manager with Corporate experience and with CEBS Certification. M&A experience is a plus.     As Benefits Manager you will, design, plan, and implement corporate benefit programs, policies and procedures.  You will be responsible for  ensuring programs meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, are cost effective, and support the organization’s objectives.  Expected to make judgments and take actions that may set precedents.  Regularly advises and consults with management and employees.      MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans and directs the implementation and administration of employee benefit programs such as health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, employee assistance, retirement, and other plans.   Prepares and communicates information to employees about benefit programs, procedures, changes and government-mandated disclosures.   Develops and administers ongoing supervisor training to meet federal guidelines as required under HIPAA.      Analyzes and evaluates services, coverage and options available through insurance and investment companies to determine programs best meeting needs of organization.    Manages the process for annual plan renewals for the health and welfare plans.    Develops material for management review and approval of annual health and welfare plans.  Implements vendor and/or plan changes and coordinates open enrollment processes across vendors and systems.    Provides services to employees and division HR staff to answer benefit questions, resolve problems related to access to or payment of benefits.    Negotiates contracts with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors and consultants for services, premiums and plan administration.  Manages vendor performance.     Maintains knowledge of and analyzes government regulations, benefit program trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations; audits benefit plans for compliance with government regulations; prepares and submits government-mandated reports and filings. Manages annual discrimination testing for retirement plan; oversees annual 401k audit and preparation of 5500s.  Review and recommend changes to procedures for improvement of benefit administration and regulatory compliance; review and recommend changes to plan documents and other plan materials. Other duties and special projects as assigned.
