It's who we are and how we do business.Check out our Video Gallery to learn more.WHAT ARE THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION?Analyze the systems requirements, and the provided business requirements, to develop a systems solutionBuild new and/or modify existing software to meet business and systems requirements through software component designing, coding, testing, and quality reviewDevelop technical specificationsImplement software solutions and resolve problemsProvide system software support for applications and componentsWHAT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION?Technical knowledge and skills applicable to assigned areaProblem solverVerbal and written communication skillsAbility to translate highly technical information for non technical customersAbility to work within a team environmentAbility to manage multiple projectsITEMS OF NOTEADDITIONAL INFORMATIONClaims Service & Support is looking for an experienced Lead Developer with knowledge of Business Intelligence tools.Requirements/Skills Needed:* Technical knowledge of at least one or more Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Qlikview, Cognos, or Business Object). * Knowledge of Metrics, Visualization techniques and Analytic trending and analysis. * Working technical knowledge in SQL or other Relational databases. * Willingness to learn new technologies. * Strong Initiative in developing business and technical analytical solutions. * Ability to work independently with some guidance and direction. * Comfortable building relationships and working across multiple teams and locations * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written * Strong initiative in seeking out solutions and engaging across multiple teams and locations This position will have an 18-month incumbency period for a lateral move and a 6-month incumbency period for a promotional opportunity (beginning on the effective date of the position) which must be met before the employee can post for any other State Farm position.
