The Nutritionist/ Cook is responsible for preparing meals for our children. Candidate will also be responsible for completing all required food program paperwork. Must have a clean background screening. A high standard of ethical and moral conduct has given our parents expectations of our staff to be honest, reliable, hard-working people who provide first-class service. Must have a minimum of a high school diploma/GED CDA or degree is not required however it is a plus 6 months-1 year experience in a licensed child care facility is a plus Must maintain state in-service requirements. Nutrition training is also a plus. The following is a representative list of duties and responsibilities associated with this position: Observe and follow all Sunshine House rules including required paperwork. See, hear, and respond to children's needs, emergencies, and conflicts that might occur. Able to communicate (stoop and bend) with the child on their level Prepare meals according to CACFP guidelines and provided menus. Complete all CACFP required paperwork. Attend staff meetings, in-house training, and other center functions, etc., as requested by the director Adhere to The Sunshine House Health and Safety procedures Familiarity with state licensing and The Sunshine House policies Perform other duties as required
