Department: Facilities Fin & Admin Srvcs - 60004Position Summary: The Facilities Procurement Office (FPO) is part of Facilities Finance & Administrative Services (FFAS). FPO consists of a staff of six (manager, assistant manager, 1 sr. contract administrators, 2 contract administrators, 1 jr. contract administrator). FPO's mission is to provide the necessary controls and processes to effectively award and administer all contracts for design, construction and related services within Princeton University's Facilities organization.FPO manages approximately 1200 contractual actions annually consisting of release orders (issued under basic ordering agreements); construction orders; and time-and-materials, fixed-price and guaranteed maximum price type contracts. FPO has fiduciary responsibility for contracts worth approximately $500M annually.FPO manages design and construction contracts for various Facilities departments, including the University Architect, the Office of Design and Construction, Operations and other Facilities and University departments as necessary.The Contract Administrator I, an entry-level position, personally provides contract administration assistance to the manager, assistant manager and three (3) contract administrators. Additionally, the Contract Administrator I: - issues solicitations, evaluates bids/proposals, recommends supplier selection, and awards fixed-price and time-and-material types of contracts for lower dollar, less complex procurements; - is responsible for contract administration duties including, but not limited to, insurance requirements compliance, contract change order and amendment issuance, dispute resolution, invoice review, and contract closeout; - generates and issues release orders (under basic ordering agreements) and construction orders; and - provides contract administration support primarily to FPO staffAll facilities employees are considered essential and are expected to be available to work as directed by the department during emergencies and certain campus events.
