We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent for our PCL Industrial Construction Co District office located in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate must have experience managing heavy industrial construction projects with values over $100M. Responsibilities: Assist in the pursuit of new work for the district. Directing, mentoring, and monitoring all discipline superintendents: electrical, structural, mechanical, piping, rigging and civil. Provide proactive leadership in construction procedures ? safe work, job safety analysis. Select equipment, maintenance and construction methodology ? formwork systems, cranes, access. Developing and ensure compliance with the quality control plan. Actively provide assistance and direction in the development and execution of the project plan and schedule. Oversee subcontractor co-ordination and progress. Liaising with client, union and labor relations. Timely scheduling, co-ordination and effective cost control, as they pertain to labor, equipment and materials on the project. Resolve potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts; anticipate and resolve project issues and schedule difficulties. Involved in corporate initiatives (i.e. Field mentoring development). Seek out new construction methods and initiatives. Mentor/coach/supervise superintendents on same site and/or multiple sites.
