Intake Worker - Psych Crisis Response Center Shift: RotatingUnder the supervision from the Professional Care Provider, provides emergency, psychosocial evaluations and services to patients and their families in the Psychiatric Crisis Unit, in accordance with the Mission and Values of Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Education, Training and Experience: - BSW, BA in Psychology or related field. - Two (2) years experience providing crisis intervention services or the equivalent. Other Requirements:- current CPR - High degree of skill in relating to people and an interest in their welfare. Verbal ability is required to understand psychological, psychiatric and medical terminology and principles. Ability to communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and educational levels who are under considerable stress.
