Position Summary: Provides support to end users on a variety of IT issues relating to VOIP phones and back up the Network Engineer on network issues. Identify, research, and resolve IT technical problems relating to VOIP Phones and networks as well as to help develop solutions in the areas of disaster recovery, redundancy, and better utilization of these resources. Respond to IT client telephone calls and email requests for service. Essential Job Functions: Set up and maintain users phones and v/m at corporate level but handles primarily level 2/3 technical requests coming from other business units. Set up and maintain Mitel Controllers (both Physical and Virtual) and Application Suite Servers including firmware updates, trunking, adding new locations, phone numbers, managing carriers within the systems, and providing new functional to the user community. Needs to be able to configure and understand the concepts of ACD, Hotdesk, and Traditional ACD. Knowledge of setting up and maintaining PrairieFyre Solutions including generating reports and setting up/maintaining security, firmware updates, and new functionality. Understanding and maintaining of network services of DNS, DHCP, electronic mail, LDAP, VLAN’s and QOS as it relates to unified communications, collaboration tools, networks and phone systems. Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot a variety of software and hardware issues as necessary. Provides network and systems administration as needed on core infrastructure. Troubleshoot remote access issues Documents internal process, end user documentation and builds knowledge base for the IT organization as it relates to technical details, project details, and root cause analysis.
