Our client's industry is Consumer Electronics so you you'll work with the engineering and marketing teams to come up with the newest products that are truly cutting edge. If you are looking for flexibility that you may not currently have because you are traveling extensively, our client requires almost no travel. Industry Experience is preferred but DEFINITELY not required. You just need to have full soup-to-nuts product experience. This individual must be able to: Manage existing product lines and all aspects of leading new product development through new product launch and exit strategies. Develop and execute annual product marketing plan to align with company and department goals. Aggressively grow the business by thoroughly understanding the product line, marketplace, retail channels and promotional execution. Institute best practices for new product conception, competitive analysis, financial rationale and key market release dates. Some duties & responsibilities are: Conduct research & business analyses to understand consumer reach, market conditions and competitor data Monitor performance/trends including key competitors Develop long-term strategies and launch schedule Devising strategies targeting consumer groups and retail channels Propose new product plans with market and financial support Review technology as it relates to the company’s product portfolio Develop and manage company’s product portfolio including new product launch and exit strategies Identify competitive strengths and weaknesses and exploit market niche’s to the company’s benefit Understand target consumer and key classes of trade where products are sold Create a new product pipeline covering all strategic avenues including technology and innovation Plan new products to be ready for commercialization during key segments of the new product development process Monitor and interact with product review sites and blogs in support of Digital Marketing Coordinator Provide copy and other insight to website and other digital or physical product collateral Produce elements of new product communication thru packaging and other means Work closely with engineering, sales and marketing services during new product development process Drive the business by supporting sales with product presentations, training and other product support as needed Product Launch & Sales Support
